9/11 - A Tribute
I was a webmaster running a few sites on a VPS at the time of the attack. A few days after, on the 14th. of September 2001, I recieved a a forward from a friend. Then, after contacting the creator to thank him, I received a request for help from this guy I'd never met before to webmasters who could help preserve this tribute to the fallen heros.
Rev. Jeff Krantz was a rector at the Church of the Advent in Westbury, New York and had put this together on his own after that terrible day, but his Webhost was threatening to take it down because of the immense volume of hits it had gotten since he'd put it up. Over 3 gigs a day worth of traffic it was getting pounded with, for a church's website it was too much.
Well, I looked at it, cried, and immediately replied I'd help host it, and that it would be online forever if I could help it.
And it's been online ever since that day, 9-14-01.
His website is gone now, but this tribute lives on. Thank you Jeff, and may we never forget not only that day of tragedy, but those who answered the call and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. And, those too who came after and were heroes themselves in the pain, dust and smoke of the aftermath.

And now, Rev. Jeff's Tribute to the Rescue workers of 9-11-1
